Nanogel: quando i biomateriali incontrano gli ormoni

Correva l’anno 1978 quando la Genentech, una grossa multinazionale americana, sintetizzò l’insulina da un batterio conosciuto come Escherichia Coli. I ricercatori della società riuscirono nell’intento di “istruire” il batterio a produrre insulina umana, grazie all’intromissione nel genoma del microrganismo del gene codificante l’ormone.
